The Books that Motivate me to be a Girl Boss

There are a lot of things that make me motivated to be a girl boss and books are one of them. There’s nothing more motivating than reading a book that is one, motivating and two, empowering. There was one book that even motivated me to start my blog which I feel is absolutely crazy, this book also made me really passionate about where I want my blog to take me in the future!

This post was actually inspired by one of my earlier posts all about my tips on being a Girl Boss and I thought this would make a great edition to this, here is the link if you want to give it a read. If you are new to my blog, please make sure to give me a follow so that you don’t miss any more of my posts, now let’s get into the books!

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

This is probably a pretty obvious one but I have literally read this book 100 times and it still motivates me every time I read it. This is the book that motivated me to start my blog because it gave so many tips on how to be the SEO of your own company and I actually try to run my own selling company on Depop which I’d honestly love to do in the future, especially with my own clothing. If you haven’t already had a read of this book, I’d 100% recommend you purchase it right now, thank me later!

You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

This is a new read of mine and I am absolutely in love and I can’t wait to read it over and over again! If you have already read #girlboss I’d 100% recommend this book because it has a very similar vibe to that one in the sense of building your own business etc. There is also another book in this genre which is You Are A Badass at making money which I really want to purchase because I feel it would be very relevant when blogging.

Faceless by Alyssa Sheinmel

I read this book a few years ago but I definitely want to go back and read it again because it made a big impact on me and taught me so much especially as I was a young teenager! This teaches you that you don’t need to be “pretty” and adhere to the social norm and I think that’s really important when it comes to a motivational book!

The Good Girls Guide to Being A D*ck

This is a book I’ve only just started reading and I can already tell I’m going to love this read! It talks all about body image and how to be take no sh*t from other people and I really like that. I’ll keep you updated on my Instagram and give you my review of it after I’ve read it fully. My Instagram is Chlolaurenblogs if you’d like to keep me updated.

How to be Happy by Eva Woods

I read this almost a year ago when I was in a very different stage of my mental illness and this really uplifted me and made me see things in a completely different perspective! I’d really recommend giving this a read and it’s definitely not just a book about tips on how to be happy but it’s a story and puts into a real-life situation which I really like about this read!

Here are the books that I read when I want to be motivated and be a Girl Boss, especially when I am lacking the motivation with my Blog and Instagram. Have you read any of these books before, what were your thoughts?

Thank you for reading,

Chlo xo
