Testing the Skin Academy Pure Range- Is it worth purchasing?

~The items discussed in this post were kindly gifted to me by Skin Academy, however, this does not change my opinion and I will always be honest~

Skin Academy is one of those brands that I used when I was thirteen and needed some really good but affordable skincare. I remember repurchasing the Skin Academy Face Wash, it was one of my favourites.

Skin Academy kindly reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try out their ‘Pure’ range which I jumped at the chance to! I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Skin Academy for gifting me these products!

As I was sent the whole range, I thought I would create an everyday skincare routine with these products and for each, I will provide my honest opinion and whether it is worth purchasing! Firstly, I just wanted to put together a list of all the products with a direct link to the item if you want to purchase!

So, the first item I used was one of the sheet masks, I always find sheet masks a struggle to apply and end up taking around 20 minutes to put it on properly! This one felt really refreshing on the skin and left my skin feeling really nourished so I’d give a 10/10 for the masks! They recommend leaving the mask on for 20 minutes which I did and it didn’t slip off my face which is what I find with most sheet masks.

I then went in and used the cleansing facial scrub, I never tend to use scrubs because I’m scared they will be too harsh on my skin because I have quite sensitive skin. I used this very lightly on my face and it left my skin feeling really smooth, it definitely felt like it had lifted all the dirt from my face.

In combination with the facial scrub, I went in with the Facial wash to get rid of any dirt or impurities that were left on my face. As I said before, I really liked the Skin Academy face wash when I was younger and this one worked the same! A small amount of this face wash really does go a long way so don’t use too much!

I’ve stopped using Facial wipes because I just know how much waste goes into these and there is unknown plastic in them so I’ve been making a conscious effort not to use them. Due to this, I’ve been on the hunt for a really good micellar water that gets rid of makeup really fast and doesn’t take a lot of effort. This one actually works really well, it doesn’t get rid of makeup as good as some of my other micellar waters but it definitely does the job, it just means you have to put a lil bit of work into it!

In combination with one another, I used the moisturiser and the eye cream. The moisturiser was very nourishing but it is quite sticky which would be really good before applying makeup but I wouldn’t really recommend it for an evening moisturiser, I definitely have others that work better! Something I don’t actually have in skincare collection is an eye cream but I’m definitely going to be using this one everyday! It really helps with under eye bags!

So that is my short and sweet review of the Pure skincare collection! I really hope you enjoyed the read!

Thank you,
